Well, there’s undoubtedly gerrymandering run amok and voter suppression tactics that keep Republicans “winning” even when demographics are against them. That said, remember, Republicans haven’t won the popular vote for a long time. The gerrymandering has got to get fixed first. It ain’t gonna happen overnight, but people finally seem to be understanding the importance of voting LOCALLY, since that’s where change starts. Latinx voters are overwhelmingly going progressive liberal/far left (like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez), or New Democrat Coalition (like Beto O’Rourke). There’s a lot of diversity and ingenuity (and hope for the future) there.
