Totally. My older two (Gen Z’ers) just inherently “get” gender diversity. Many colleges & universities across America now consider it mainstream to ask students for their pronouns. My oldest even had a high school teacher who did this on the first day.

Sometimes, I feel a little sorry for all the people who will one day find themselves in, say, a nursing home, in the care of others who are mostly androgynous looking. There will be quite a few who end up surrounded by non-binary people and will feel lost in their own world. Like a culture shock. Only, it’s their own fault for being in denial of something that has always existed, and always will — especially with more and more people willing to come out.
