This right here is so much of the issue - that others in society don't understand we ALL have a gender identity that was pretty much hard-wired into our psyche before we were even born. In fact, many of us aren't even aware because of the simple fact that we don't experience disharmony with our internal sense of gender identity, our expression of that, and importantly, the gender attribution that society assigns to us.
In other words, us cis folks. We don't experience gender dysphoria. And unfortunately, to many cis people, the lack of empathy for this (because they don't personally experience it) is what will keep them bound by willful ignorance.
It makes me sad. Especially when there's so much info out there if one truly cares to learn. Thanks so much for your voice!
