Louise, thank you so much for the very kind words, and please know that I stand in solidarity with you. I will always, always do whatever I can to fight for trans rights.
Though we’ve never met, I’m eternally thankful that you exist; that you’re still here today, a living testament to the immense bravery, strength, and endurance of trans folx everywhere. Also very glad to hear your friend is staying with and supporting her transitioning spouse. ❤
Your words, especially, have so much meaning; to hear these sentiments from adult trans women like you helps me hold on to hope for the future, rather than fear. There are definitely days when the devil on my shoulder pulls me into a downward spiral of “what ifs” and self-doubt, and, of course, being a public advocate leaves no shortage of negative, disapproving critique in my life (and most importantly, my trans kid’s life). Nevertheless, we persist!
