As an American, I’m sort of stunned by all of this — like the fact that she was able to sign herself out of a 2nd stay in a psychiatric hospital… (the next day!) or the fact that her children were ever returned to her care at all. And the photo of the prison “cell” at Silverwater. It looks more like some of our NYC hotel rooms circa 1980s than it does prison cell! Is that a “veranda” where she can step out for fresh air? What a truly horrifying story. Thank you for telling it.
